The Lego League is currently for 5th/6th grade. They are involved with FIRST® LEGO® League – https://www.firstlegoleague.org/about. FIRST® LEGO® League introduces science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through fun, exciting hands-on learning. Participants gain real-world problem-solving experience through a guided, global robotics program, helping today’s students and teachers build a better future together. One group currently meets on Mondays, the other on Tuesdays.
They participate in a build-a-robot competition. The robot completes tasks on an official board that is set by FLL. Each year the competition is different. In 2023, we are focusing on technology in the arts. Participants will program a robot with Scratch to move around the board and score points.
