Kindergarten students take on the challenge of designing and engineering a way to knock down dominoes without touching them with their hands. Two great examples pictured below – ball pushed down a ramp into the dominoes and a swing pushed into them.
First graders have been learning all about the Arctic and focused on the different adaptations of animals living there. Students created their own blubber and tested it out to see if it really works! First graders first put their hands in ice water and recorded their observations. They then used shortening in a bag to protect their hand from the cold water, like blubber does, and recorded their observations again. First graders has a blast seeing for themselves how blubber works!
