Principal’s Newsletter

“TO BE OR NOT TO BE? THAT IS THE QUESTION” —- about WestFest! WestFest is a long-standing tradition at Holy Rosary. It has been going on for years. It is really a way in which we launch ourselves into September and the beginning of a four-month period that is full of activities and celebrations. This undertaking financially benefits both the school and parish communities each year with money that is needed to balance out budgets.

Unfortunately, however, we have nobody to chair the event for next year. If we do not get someone quickly we will probably have to call the event off. If anyone is willing to take the helm on this and chair it please contact George Hofbauer at or Kamila Kennedy at Please act today. We need somebody!

CHILDREN’S CHOIR WELCOMES SECOND GRADERS TO SING ON MOTHERS’ DAY! Every year, the Holy Rosary Youth Choir for students in grades 3-5, welcomes second graders into the choir to sing for Mothers’ Day! It is exciting and fun to see and hear 15-20 new young singers learn about choir and the joy of singing together! And then even more fun and memorable to have them sing for their moms on Mothers’ Day!

The choir will sing at the 10:30 Sunday Mass on Mothers’ Day, May 8. Rehearsals are after school in the chapel on Wednesdays: April 13, 20, 27 and May 4, from 2:30-3:15. Teachers will escort kids from classroom to chapel. Pick-up is from the chapel courtyard at 3:15. Students will be escorted back to BASE as needed. They will also rehearse Sunday morning (May 8) in the chapel at 9:30 a.m. No cost for second graders to participate. Donations always welcome.

To have your second grader sing on Mothers’ Day, please register online on the Holy Rosary Parish website by clicking here. Arrangements can also be made if there is a Wednesday rehearsal conflict. Our goal is to have as many second graders as possible join the choir to sing for their Moms!

APRIL MERCY OF THE MONTH – COUNSEL THE DOUBTFUL – This month we are invited to Counsel the Doubtful.  There are two types of doubt: those that arise from a lack of knowledge, and those that arise from a lack of faith or hope. With this Spiritual Work of Mercy, we are invited to help others come to know and follow Jesus Christ who is the Way, the Truth and the Life. It is Him who gives us hope. And it is He that we must come to know, as well as His teachings, as we strive to be faithful disciples, and help others to do the same – that the promise given to us of eternal life with Him may be ours. Click here to download the .pdf.
