Dear Holy Rosary Families.
Happy Catholic Schools Week! We have had a wonderful week celebrating our school and community, and giving thanks for the wonderful gift that is Catholic education. Thank you for all that you do to make Holy Rosary School the tremendous place it is. We couldn’t do it without you!
Thank you to all of you who completed your re-registration quickly! This will help us immensely in developing the 2017-2018 budget. We’d also like to introduce a new program; we will be trying for the 2017-2018 school year- a preschool 2’s class! This class will run Mondays and Fridays from 8:30 – 11:00. Tuition will be $3000, and the requirements will be for students to be 2 1/2 by August 31st and potty trained. If you have a child you would like to enroll, please do so quickly through our online application or contact Jennifer Kokkonis with questions.
Have a fantastic rest of the week!
Just four years after the parish church was founded, the pastor looked to the future and saw the incredible possibilities that lay ahead. He moved the church building almost a mile away to a new location so he could build a school, as well. While much has changed in our world and within our own community since 1913 when our school opened, our mission remains the same – to form disciples of Jesus Christ. It is He who gives our lives meaning, who gives us true and lasting happiness, who gives us peace amidst life’s storms, who suffers with us in our pain, who invites us to follow Him and who opens the gates of Heaven to us if we have been faithful. He is therefore the greatest gift that we can give to those entrusted to our care. And so it is that our faith informs everything we teach as we help our children grow in the wisdom and knowledge and love of God and His Creation, and His intercession in the world throughout history. Let us give thanks to God for all that He has done for us, and for the gift of our community, as we share in this journey of faith together.
For those families who have submitted Kindergarten applications, you should have a time scheduled for your child’s assessment. The assessment will be held on Friday, February 10th. Please contact email@example.com, if you have not received a sign-up notification for your incoming Kindergartener. Any questions on the re-enrollment process can be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The GRANDPARENTS AND SPECIAL FRIENDS LUNCH was yesterday. We had nearly 270 guests attend this event. Students escorted their grandparents and special friends around school, visited the book fair and had photos taken. Photos will be available at the Gail Ann Photography web site; a link will be posted soon. Thank you to co-chairs Julie Roy and Lisa Speltz for all their planning and to all the volunteers for assistance. Enjoy the pictures and video below of the luncheon and of the students performing. Thank you Carl Baber for the photography!
