Principal’s Message

As I write this, it is a beautiful Valentine’s Day!! By the time you get this, we will have completed the first part of our Accreditation visits, the pre-visit. Phew!

Many of you have asked about next year’s calendar, which is in the works. We’ll have it out by the first week in March. But to help with summer planning, I wanted to let you know we will have a post-Labor day start, with the first day of school on September 5th.

One note about this year’s calendar: on the calendar we have a half-day scheduled on March 31st, for auction set-up. Originally BASE was not going to operate on this day. But because the auction is off-site, we will be busy setting up elsewhere. So, BASE will operate on March 31st beginning at 12:00 when school dismisses, and this day will be included as a regular contract day.

Remember, school also dismisses at noon this Friday as the start to the long weekend, and BASE will be open Friday afternoon and Monday/Tuesday.

Enjoy the long weekend!
