Principal’s Message

Dear Holy Rosary families,

I am so excited to see our students in the Christmas program this evening. Everyone has been working hard and I know it will be a wonderful show! Please remember, doors will open in the church at 5:30, and the band will begin its prelude at 6:15.

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas break and you have the opportunity to rest, relax, and spend quality time with your family and friends. When we come back, things are going to be busy as we will begin registration for the ’17-’18 school year! More to come on that.

As my final eFC message for 2016, I will share with you our Advent prayer for this week, as we rejoice in anticipation for the birth of Jesus Christ.

Many blessings to you all this holiday season.

Heavenly Father,
Prepare our hearts this Advent
And remove the sadness
That prevents us from feeling the joy and hope
That the birth of your son, Jesus Christ, will bestow.
We ask that you help us to prepare these days,
that we continue to encounter You and ask for grace,
and that we give our whole heart to You.
We ask this as we continue to listen and wait this Advent season.

carmina-advertSEATTLE GIRLS’ CHOIR – The Seattle Girls’ Choir’s premiere choir Prime Voci would like to invite you to a lovely concert we are presenting the evening of Sunday, December 18, at 7:30 p.m. at Holy Rosary Church. Carmina Angelorum is an evening of music composed for the moving pairing of harp and women’s choir and is a lovely celebration of the season. The core of the program is Benjamin Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols, with harp accompaniment by Juliet Stratton. This year, we are pleased to also present John Rutter’s Dancing Day cycle of Christmas carols. Holy Rosary is the perfect setting for both sets of music that are based on Medieval English Christmas texts and are a celebration of joy to hear. Information about Prime Voci is on this .pdf here.

Tickets are available here at Brown Paper Tickets. Holy Rosary School students may get in free with an accompanying adult ticket. Enter the password code “student”.
