Principal’s Message

Dear Holy Rosary Families,

As I write this, I sit looking outside of my window on a dark, cold morning. It’s hard to imagine on a freezing January morning, that I am writing to talk about next year; but it is time to begin the re-enrollment process. At this moment, I find myself reflecting on my first six months here, and why we chose Holy Rosary School for our kids, long before I ever imagined I would be principal. For me, it boils down to the fact that I wanted my children to receive an exceptional student-centered academic education, with staff that knew my kids inside and out, who loved my children, and who were champions for their success. I wanted my kids to be part of a community that looked out for and supported one another, that is part of a team to continually do what is best for everyone. And I wanted my children to receive an education rooted in the Gospel teachings of Jesus Christ, which would help them learn and grow into global citizens who understand their role in making the world a better place. And that’s what we found here!

I know you share these values and beliefs, which is why we are so blessed to have your family as part of our school community. Now it is time to commit to another year, with re-enrollment for next year.

Early re-enrollment is essential in assisting us with budget development for next year, financial award decisions, and long range planning. As you will read about below in Jennifer Kokkonis’ message, enrollment will open on January 16th and we are hoping to have all re-enrollment complete by January 31st. We are also asking that all financial aid requests from current families be completed by then as well.

Thank you so much, for your prompt attention to this, and for all you do to make Holy Rosary School the amazing place it is!

Have a wonderful rest of the week!

Anna

Pastor’s Message

On Thursday, January 19th at 7 p.m. I am going to start a series of classes on Catholicism 101. There is such a richness and beauty to this gift of faith that we have received, the God who loves us and this wonderful Creation. It will last for six weeks, although there will be no class on February 2nd. The first class will be a general introduction to the Revelation of God, with a focus on Creation, a quick overview of the Old Testament, and the Incarnation of Christ. The first night I will ask a very important question: What do you want to learn more about and explore? The remainder of the classes will be principally decided by you – to answer the questions you have long held, to fill in the large gaps that we all have to the faith formation we received as children. Faith is a gift – one we should never take for granted. Come and see, and go deeper together as a community of faith.
