As we enter these sacred days, I wish your family a prayerful Triduum, a blessed Easter, and a restful spring break! Please remember, we will have a silent dismissal at noon tomorrow to follow the living Stations of the Cross in the church (begins at 11:10)
Earlier this week we watched in horror as Paris’ Notre Dame Cathedral burned. Thankfully it is not completely destroyed. Destruction, Death and New Life – our themes of Holy Week as we journey with Christ. Easter will only be joyful if the Resurrection means something to us. We can only rise from the dead if we have first died with Christ. Otherwise Easter loses all meaning. During these coming days, let us journey with Christ to Calvary, that the gift of new life might truly be ours.
Mass of the Lord’s Supper, 7PM
Adoration follows as we keep watch with Jesus in the Garden
in the Saint Dominic Chapel in the Parish Center
School Stations of the Cross, 11:10AM
Stations of the Cross followed by Confessions, 3PM (Last Confession Opportunity)
Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion, 7PM
With Veneration of the Cross
Great Vigil: 8:30PM
This wondrous Liturgy celebrates the culmination of what
we have longed and waited for: Christ the Light,
who banishes the darkness. We also welcome our
new members through Christian Initiation.
Easter Morning: 8:30AM and 10:30AM
If you are traveling, be sure to visit www.masstimes.org to find ways to celebrate these mysteries with Christ and the Church wherever you are!
I hope you have a blessed and joyous Easter!

The library will be accepting donations of books to be considered as an addition to our library collection through the end of May. Please feel free to bring your donations by the library before or after school any day in the coming month. Thanks!

It’s that time again! We are seeking nominations for the 2019 Parents Club Distinguished Service Award. This award is given annually to a parent who has dedicated considerable time and service, truly above and beyond, to make our school what it is! This award is often given to a parent of a graduating 8th grader, but nominations are not limited to 8th grade parents. Interested in nominating someone? Send your nomination to Parents Club President Ann Baker, firstname.lastname@example.org, no later than April 19th!
Volunteers Needed in the Library
Are you looking to fill the last of your Holy Rosary volunteer hours? I am looking for volunteers to help run our Scholastic Book Fair this spring. Volunteers will be asked to monitor book fair and process purchases during their shift. If you are interested in donating your time, please use the following sign-up genius link to sign-up.
I am also looking for volunteers to help periodically shelve books in our library. Please email me using the contact info below if you are available to help out.
EVENTS & FUNDRAISING
Our fundraising focus for the remainder of the school year will be the ANNUAL FUND. If you have already contributed to the Annual Fund, thank you. If not, I urge you to help us reach 100% participation. No amount is too small. When applying for grants, a higher percentage of participation tells the granting committee that we have exhausted our internal resources. Click to donate to the ANNUAL FUND.
Why support the Annual Fund?
Tuition and fees do not fully cover the school’s expenses. Fundraisers, including the Annual Fund, are needed to make up the 20% difference.
We will be participating in GiveBig on May 8th. GiveBig is a one-day online giving campaign across the Puget Sound. If you’d like to make a one-time donation through their portal, then please do so once the link is released.
