Dear Holy Rosary Families,
I enjoyed seeing many of you at the Italian Dinner, the All Saints Day Mass, and again this past Sunday as the Saints made another appearance! Both were wonderful celebrations of all that makes the Holy Rosary School community special. Thank you to the Volpone family for organizing the Italian Dinner and to our 4th graders and our 4th grade teaching team, Mary Simpson and Katie Benson for all of their hard work.
This past weekend we also hosted our fall open house, a chance to share our school community with prospective school families. I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you to each of you for all you do to support our school, and for your continued partnership as members of the school community. Catholic schools are a special place, and the environment in a Catholic school is truly unique. In that light, I wanted to share with you a small piece I read today -Ten Reasons Why Catholic Schools Still Matter. https://ace.nd.edu/resources/ten-reasons-why-catholic-education-still-matters. I’d encourage you to read it and share it with your family and friends.

Please contact the office with any questions.
Safety On Our Streets
Please help your children remember to use the crosswalks at all times. They should not be crossing the street anywhere but a crosswalk. Drop off and pick up are very chaotic. We ask that all adults demonstrate proper safety as an example to our students.

Dennis Uniforms is still selling uniforms online, but no longer has a physical store in Washington. Their closest store location to us is Portland, OR. We have been told that Seattle customers have a 15% discount off of prices at all times (not to be combined with other online offers) and free shipping to offset the lack of a physical store location in our area. https://www.dennisuniform.com

All are welcome and no topic is off limits! We meet twice a month in the Parish Office, and our next meeting will be Tuesday, November 19. Saint of the Week
Every week, we highlight a particular saint. This week, we remember St. Frances Xavier Cabrini. Mother Cabrini has a particular connection to Seattle, since she founded Our Lady of Mount Virgin school and parish, the orphanage which became Villa Academy, and a hospital which no longer exists. She also founded similar institutions to serve the sick and poor across the U.S., in New York, Chicago, Denver, New Orleans, and other cities. She shows us the importance of infrastructure to help the disadvantaged live lives worthy of their dignity in Christ. Her feast is November 13.
