The HEART Auction was a huge success! The attendees really rocked around the clock and everyone was wearing fun attire. We had the pleasure of getting a visit from Elvis Presley to set the tone for the evening. Thank you all who volunteered and donated your time and treasure for Holy Rosary School. The numbers are getting crunched but they look very promising, thanks to you. There are two sets of candids picture which you can view here-1 and here-2.

SUMMER PARTY FOR 40 CATERED BY CHRISTOS
A total of 69 people will be attending a lovely party at the home of Sandy Brown and Kate McGovern on June 6th. Thank you Kate & Sandy, Julie & John Cahill and Shawna and Petros Fotopoulos for putting this on and helping us raise $6,900 for the auction. Note: per the hosts’ permission, the party was oversold, therefore 29 people were charged after Saturday. Check List and let us know if you think your name should be there.

A couple of weeks ago one of our parents coordinated a passive fundraiser at Marination Ma Kai on Alki. Thank you Michelle Chan! Holy Rosary will receive a check for $567.45. Thanks to all of you who were able to participate.

The theme for this year’s talent show is Holy Rosary Olympics. Each grade has chosen a different country. The students can dress in the traditional or modern clothing from the country. Accessories are also welcomed. If a student doesn’t have any clothing of the country, they can simply wear one of the colors of the flag! We look forward to seeing all of your spirit!

CYO CO-ED HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE
Do you have a high school aged child who would like to play volleyball with their former Holy Rosary buddies?! Holy Rosary Parish is participating in the 2015 CYO Co-Ed High School Volleyball League. Your high school age student is eligible to play, grades 9-12 only. Matches will be on Sundays, tentatively planned for May 3, 17, 31 and June 7, 14 with an end of season tournament on June 20th, no playoffs. This Co-Ed league is a very relaxed and players are not required to commit to attend every match, but are required to register. Non Holy Rosary players are also welcome, if their parish does not currently have a team. The price of registration is $45.00 and this includes a T-shirt. TRANSITION TEAM NEWS
There still has been no news regarding who the new priest will be. It will probably be several more weeks before this announcement will be made. The Archdiocese has assigned Pat Buckley to guide the Transition Team in our work. She will meet with us for the first time this Thursday, April 30. Members of the Transition Team are continuing to be present at the Church doors after the weekend Masses or you may email the Transition Team co-chairs, Karin Kovach (email@example.com) or Virginia Radel (firstname.lastname@example.org) or School Commission President Mike Hooks (email@example.com) to address any questions and/or concerns you may have. Walking with Purpose (WWP) is a national program that started at Holy Rosary last fall and is already TRANSFORMING lives of so many women. Are you looking for a way to make faith a greater part of your life, but struggle to fit prayer into your hectic daily schedule? Walking with Purpose reaches out to women who desire to grow their faith using a Scripture-based program that is fresh, relevant and focused on conversion of heart. (No, we are not an exercise group!) Our next study, Living in the Father’s Love, begins this summer. It is a brief but powerful course meant to revive and refresh us as we discover just how much God loves us! We will learn how the Gospels are deeply relevant to our relationships, both with God and with those who we love. Join us on Friday mornings! June 5-July 31 9:30-11:00AM in the Parish Center, childcare will be provided. The fee for the 8-week session is $40, which covers a study guide, childcare and hospitality. To the members of Holy Rosary Parish and/or School, the Liturgy Commission is looking for new members for the year 2015-2016. We are seeking people from diverse age groups and backgrounds, hence young adults to the well seasoned. The duties of this commission include advising our Priest on matters regarding the liturgy as well as represent ministries that take part in the Liturgy. PECADO BUENO HELP WANTED
Pecado Bueno West Seattle needs you, and maybe a friend for part-time work. You will start at 10:45am and be done around 12:30 pm, five days a week, excluding holidays. The person or persons (might be better for two people to take this on together so you can maintain your very flexible schedule needs) will help package a lunch delivery (no handling of direct food items) then deliver it to a one or two block area of downtown, no need to wait for payments just drop and go, and then you are done for the day. Drivers need insured car (large hatchback, wagon, minivan or SUV) and a smart phone. We will pay you $50 each day, approximately $12,350 per year.
