Third grade wins in STEM DuPont Science Challenge!

We are happy to announce that our third grade class and teachers – Mrs. Helling and Mrs. Meland – have won “Honorable Mention” for a STEM DuPont Science Challenge. The students did extensive research using QR codes and their IPads. They then broke into small groups using the Comic Life app in the lab to turn their research into an informal comic book telling about Earthquakes and how to stay safe during their occurrence. Students drew the artwork and scanned the images and/or used the Kid Pix app in the lab. This is really amazing. Only five schools received an honorable mention. Yes the staff at Holy Rosary is taking a very serious approach to STEM. Next year will be very exciting. View 3A’s and 3B’s entries below.
